MCSP – Senior Physiotherapist | APPI Pilates Instructor
Bev qualified in 2004 with a First Class honours degree in Physiotherapy from Hertfordshire University before beginning work for the NHS in Stevenage, where she spent four years gaining experience in orthopaedics, stroke and musculoskeletal services.
Bev then moved to Dubai in 2008 where she worked further in the outpatient musculoskeletal setting, working closely with a sports injury surgeon for a few years.
During this time Bev worked alongside the ATP Physio at Dubai Tennis Championships in 2009 and 2010, and got to treat Novak Djokovic several times amongst other top players.
Bev returned from Dubai in 2015 and worked for a private clinic in South Gosforth before joining JL PhysioFit in January 2023.
As with all of our physios at JL PhysioFit, Bev has a passion for helping clients overcome pain and injury, with a focus on both pain relief and long-term management. Bev does this by utilising all of her skills in hands-on techniques such as acupuncture, deep dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisation, taping and massage, as well as rehabilitation and exercise focussed physiotherapy.
Whilst Bev treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, she has a strong interest in areas such as the spine and pelvis, as well as a specialist interest in Osteoarthritis after having undergone a total hip replacement herself in 2019.
Bev is trained in Pilates and is excited to start instructing classes as well as utilising it in her one-to-one work with clients. Bev knows first-hand the benefits that Pilates can have on conditions like total hip replacements and is a strong advocate of it in practice.
Bev is also undergoing extensive training in Women’s Health and is excited to work with clients in this area soon.
Bev enjoys spending time with her two young children and family, as well as enjoying walking, cycling and Pilates. To book in with Bev, simply use our easy online booking system or call the clinic direct.
